Today I went and put in an application for Centre Fest. It is a festival with Street Performers and vendors of all sorts.

Mom and Rob were here visiting for just about two weeks. It was such a relaxing wonderful visit. I really feel like I got some great 'mom time' in. I learned a lot of great pottery tips from mom and made some awesome functional pieces, Rob helped me make an awesome turkey. They installed a laundry tub for me, (helps with the wine making and pottery). Mom called me from Daniels as they were preparing to head back to BC, I miss them already and wish that they were my neighbors or I theirs. I have realized that my mom is not only my Mother, but also a dear cherished friend~ I am so blessed to have you in my life.
Guest room is already ready for the next summer visitors ~

Good Morning from sunny Alberta ~
It has been far too long since I have written on my blog....
Lots has changed in my life. I now live in central Alberta although I don't consider myself an Albertan, my heart and soul belong to British Columbia. My children are all grown up and live on the sunshine coast. Plus now we have a dog, well she is really half person... her name is Sara Peach and she is a Lab Pitt cross who happens to be in heat right now. I want her to get to be a mom once before we get her fixed.
I have a part time(25hrs a week) mindless job with great benefits, and a few serious heath problems. I have recently acquired a pottery wheel and a kiln, oh what fun. My mom Juanita is a paramedic/potter ~ so I am gleaning some inspiration from her. Also counting down until her and Rob get here for a visit! So excited ~ can't wait.
I have also been really loving pinterest where I have been saving my favorite things from all over the web.  http://pinterest.com/joy72  

This is a current picture of my husband Thom and I ~ both a little scruffy but hey, out doing yard work.So that's about it for now.... Going to be a very warm day so I'd better get some stuff done before I am hiding from the heat. Have a beautiful day~

What's Been Going on

This is in the Fraser Canon, where I am working right now. Very windy valley, it is where the Fraser river and the North Thompson river meet, this photo is just down stream. Next week I will venture a walk out on this bridge, yes I have CNR permission, and will take some more photo's. This is just south of Lytton BC. This is my ride. Very nice, brand new 2007 Dodge Ram, Hemi powered.
Makes my days much more comfy!

Thanks to all you out there who send me e-mails, look at my flickr photo site, and read this blog. It really helps the time go faster while I'm away from home. 3 more sleeps! I can hardly wait to get back to the real world! I fly out of Helmet on Thursday at 2:30 pm, I should get home early in the am.

It is rutting season here. This little girl was trying here best to get away from the bull. They were both swimming in the little lake when we first flew over.

Yesterday we had an 'at camp day' as it was to foggy to land where we need to go. I spent the day helping people at camp with there computer work. Teaching new thing in excel and such.

As I write this e-mail I am reminded of the awesome beauty this Country has to offer. I am in a part of it that most people don't get to see. What a privilege indeed.

Only five more sleeps until I get to go home.
